I don't hate Gus really that much. I think that the legend of Brainy-Yak and Vitamin sucker are the worst episodes.

Vitamin Sucker was poorly paced (the episode seems to be going on fast forward) and not that well written for example, Affenkugel after being made huge again and stinky, doesn’t seem to really mind it, but then after we see him on the TV, looking like he had no problem with it, it suddenly cuts to him miserable because of the people who hate the smell he has and people taunting him. And the ending has nothing to do with the rest of the episode, other then tack on a moral about vegetables that has almost nothing to do with the entire plot. The Legend of Brainy-Yak however, wasn’t really funny, and the action wasn’t exciting and pretty weak. And the ending ended up making the whole episode pointless.

Honestly Auntie Gravitee. She just proves how different the newer seasons were compared to the older ones. I never got any joy from watching that episode. The humor was stale in that one. She's definitely my least favorite.

It was actually kind of a dull episode thinking about it.

I mean, while there are memorable and funny moments, nothing that much happens in terms of plot, and the action is not very good. I mean, all we get is a "fight" between Robotboy and Guab, which only serves to inject more of Bob Camp's bread and butter from his older show, a bar fight which is over in seconds,and a prison break sequence, which is just again, boring and lame as well.

That's a common theme with these episodes, they have mediocre action, as they are either uninteresting, bland and/or too short, and all of the fights are generally slower than how they used to be. I know it's pretty much a fact they cared more about making a comedy show than an action/comedy show, which is just not the same as it used to be.

Speaking of comedy, I do not like the more zany tone of these episodes. I mean, it wasn't unheard of beforehand to have things of this sort, like we had aliens and this random psycho monkey driving a car, but it either made relative sense, wasn't too out of place, the monkey scene was probably supposed to be like that as the point as a joke, and these were fairly rare scenes.

Compare these things to the randomly talking animals, they don't work because they clash with the style and setting already established, are just too weird, feel more like something befitting Invader Zim and Yin Yang Yo! than Robotboy, and just are simply not very funny.
