Tommy's Backpack is just like the name says the backpack of Tommy.
It's a main item that shows up and is being used in many episodes, altough it never has a mayor function or role in the series, except for carrying Robotboy or Tommy's schoolbooks.
The white backpack with the selfmade blue horns resembles Robotboy.
Specifications[]
The white backpack is a large, firm and square backpack. It has on the flap a see trough glass (probably plastic). The flap can be closed with a velcro, as it seems there is no zipper. At the front is a rectangular pocket with a orange cap on it. It's use is unknown. The bacpack also has two side pockets.
The back can be carried in two ways, with the use of a single shoulder strap or sometimes with two back straps. This could be a drawing error made by different artists or it shows that two different backpacks with the same design were used and that the Original backpack was stolen by Affenkugel in Traffic Slam (see Trivia). When the backpack is being carried with the shoulder strap, it shows that the strap also has some pockets to use. The shoulder strap is also seen most times.
Most noticeable are the two blue horns at each side. The are the same shape and color as Robotboy's horns. Tommy probably has made them and attached them on his backpack so that Robotboy would fit in when he is in his 2nd, active mode. He used two different pieces and they are held together by adhesive tape. He probably sewed them to the backpack.
Most of the time when Robotboy is carried in the backpack, he is deactivated, so the horns aren't always necessary.
Triva[]
- The plastic where Robotboy can see through, isn't always present. Sometimes it's missing.
- In the episode Double Tommy the backpack isn't used by the fake Tommy or the real Tommy. But when the real Tommy comes home at the end of the episode, the backpack is suddenly in use.
- In Traffic Slam the backpack is contaminated by Gus and later stolen by Klaus Von Affenkugel. It doesn't return to Tommy in the episode. So Tommy could have bought a new one that looked the same or the backpack was returned to him later.
- The backpack has enough space to carry Robotboy and schoolbooks. It's also doesn't seem to be heavy for Tommy to carry.
- Most of the time, the backpack has two back straps to be carried. But in some episodes the two back straps are missing and it only has a shoulder strap and is being carried thay way. This could be done by mistake or could indicate the difference between two backpacks possibly.
